The Hope 'verse is one of the very few AUs I'm willing to return to again and again, but it always touches something so real for me about the guys. This piece was lovely, and the parts about Dean remembering Mary bathing him, teaching Sam to swim, and John reminding him of his life before demons, are now canon in my head.
