EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK. Damn, that, um. Yeah, the idea of it WATCHING them, Mary and John and sweet little Dean and big old Sammy-bump, that...freaks me out. Yikes. But spot-on. ::shiver::

Yeah...what's in the shadows out there in the hall? Nothing? Somethin' waaaaatching you? I started out with just the YED, then I thought, gonna throw Meg and what's-his-name in there too. Snotty little teenage demons.

Ooh! So creepy! And not only in the way the demon lurks in the shadows, watching this family with a malicious and twisted enjoyment, but again because of the fact that Mary is familiar with him. What things did the demon promise her? What deal did she make? It's all just so sad that at this point in their lives John and especially Dean are completely innocent. A father waiting for his new son, a boy waiting for his little brother. Content in the knowledge that life is simple and good. But 6 months down the line, it all goes to hell.

I do hope we get to see more of Mary's connection to the Demon in the show, because I really am fascinated by it. In the meantime though, this is a wonderful little snippet.

I think I read somewhere (one of the ComicCon interviews?) that they *are* going to deal with Mary and the demon, and fairly early on in the season. So I hope they do it justice, and don't just toss it away somehow - because the fact that Mom knew the YED? Is VERY major.

I love this glimpse at the Winchesters so happy and normal together--the fact that you put it together with the deeply creepy appearance of the demon is awesome.
