"A little stone grapefruit with nubby arms and legs, maybe." Exactly! Only really, really creepy.
"His life, man." I loved the way this theme ran through the chapters. Because Dean's life? Just the sort of place where an ungrabbable monster would threaten one pregnant and one crazy innocent in an elevator. And I loved the idea of the woman giving birth to a "little(ish)" person. Hee!
This: "He heard Sam's voice a couple minutes ago. That'll have to do." and this: "Yeah, Sam, he thinks. You pretty much saved me for this." So Dean.
Case stories FTW! I thinks that's all I'm going to read between now and September. Or mostly. So if you have any more case stories up your sleeve, have at.
Oh, I also bought the new tie-in novel at your recommendation. Looking forward to reading.
Awesome! I always worry about these final chapters - whether they're satisfying or not. I lean so heavily toward character work that sometimes I feel like I neglect some of the notes that a more plot-oriented person would be sure to hit. So it's nice to hear that a story works out well.
I've got a longer case fic in mind for whenever I can wrangle a week off work. Right now it's looking like late July. Stay tuned!
See, even when they just hunted wendigoes Sam and Dean's life wasn't straightforward - Dean had to go and mind meld with the thing!
That was like a breath of fresh air, it really was! Thanks for writing something that didn't angst us to death! (But had just enough angst in there to keep us happy!)

I say this every time, but I find your Dean voice to be spot-on perfect. His internal monolog? Priceless!
