Oh god that's an ominous ending! Why can't the boys just have something nice happen to them for once, huh? Why?! Because they're Winchesters, that's why! You can't really blame Sam for being uber-suspicious of suddenly finding himself in paradise... Well Dean's idea of paradise anyway!

I am intrigued. I am kind of glad I have not been able to read all week. It is almost like you have written this lovely long fic for me to enjoy!

Okay, this is so not going to go well. The boys may have 'earned' it, but there's been no sign that karma is so kind to them.

And speaking of karma, Dean really should know that there's no way Sam can enjoy himself if he doesn't know all the details of what's going on. The idea that Sam will just lie back and go with the flow is ludicrous. So if he's not honest with Sam, of course he's going to end up with distant and restless little brother.

But if Dean's being rewarded by someone he was kind to, why can't he just tell Sam? I assume he wasn't actually this Ms. Carlisle's toy boy! And who is the woman? Is that her wedding ring he's found? If so, does that mean she's still around too? Can a wedding ring count as "remains"?

So many questions! A great chapter!

When I settled on setting this in Season 4 (though no, there are no spoilers, and no real reference to the season), I figured I'd be safe in putting that "secrets and lies" backdrop in here. Yep, it's frustrating for those of us who want the boys to just TALK to each other, but...you know how it goes.
