I absolutely love Diane's character and enjoyed your insight into a brief moment of her life. I like how you portrayed her quiet strength or "sheer determination" as you put it. It's true that "she’s a wife and a mother and all the things she chose not to be".
(I'm only on S2 of TGW, but I'm so spoiled about what happens in S3 that was able to understand your references...one good thing about having no self-control when it comes to shows and spoilers!)

AHHHHHHHHH. Oh, this is so fabulous, hon! Thank you SO MUCH. Such great insight into her characters, and so many lines I want to pick out as favorites. But these two in particular:

Given the choice between happiness (and this is Will, who has sat through innings longer than most of his relationships) and the security of the firm, there really isn't a contest.
