Shakespearean Sunday!

nhw posted the popularity rankings of Shakespeare's plays by LibraryThing users.

Interesting list. And I'm surprised by some of the results, particularly that Romeo and Juliet came in third, not first - and that Julius Caesar came in as high as it did. I haven't met a lot of people who have professed to have a lot of love for that play ( Read more... )

The older I get, the more I think R&J really was a comedy. But I'm bitter.

I don't know if I'm bitter or not, but as I get older, the less romantic and the more creepy and fucked up this play gets for me.

I've never read Richard III - because honestly, I'm not a huge Shakey fan.

The photo is for the win, innit? LOLspeare really is the order of the day.

I'm just waiting for someone to realize that "Midsummer Night's Dream" is just begging for captions. I mean, come on - Ass head? It was made for LOLs. :)
