What can happen in a second?

A fraction of a thought. A stray word. A single eloquent sideways glance, caught and received and understood. Nothing big. Nothing huge. Nothing earth shattering, in itself. But it might be all that is necessary to change the course of your life.

A houseplant is dying. Tell it why it needs to live.

Dear GOD, you can't. They told me one more death like this and I'll be banned from owning pets in the future, any kind of pet, at all, ever. Do you really want me to shuffle off this mortal coild without the comfort and companionship of a cat purring on my lap? I remember to feed the ANIMALS - it is my fault you never remind me that you are thirsty?!? Stay. Just stay. Here's a bucket of water. Drink up and let's just forget this conversation ever happened.

Facebook updates for 2017

I'm probably going to be something else by then, and Facebook will be history. Why bother?...
