Warning: anthropomorphic squid angst
Peering over my boulder, my perfect hiding spot, I watch them-the black-haired male and the red-haired female, lying in each others' tentacles on the banks of the lake. I don't think they are mating . . . yet. Humans have that silly habit of wearing what they call 'clothes'. I believe the rolling around and rubbing against each other is humans' precursor to mating. Giant squids are much more direct about such things. Of course, I am too young to really know . . . I need to get out more, meet some Giant males. I wonder when I will find my own perfect mate?
