First of all you seem to be one of the few authors who can get grown-up Harry exactly right in my mind. He's powerful and dangerous (otherwise, how could he be an Auror?) but he's still sweet and chivalrous and modest and obviously very much in love with Ginny.
You've done Ginny brilliantly as well - she's a strong-willed witch, but she's no Auror and although she wasn't frightened by what she saw, it was certainly nothing she was prepared for.
As for the sex - it was fantastic! There was just enough in the background to set the reader on edge in the same way that Harry and Ginny were being effected by it. Then finally, their own coupling was that perfect blend of need and emotion; neither sappy nor desperate and more than getting-off but not passionate love-making.
And the ending? Perfect! I'll think of this every time I see a hydrangea.

I love the use of vampires in an HP fic -- we see so little of them in canon that sometimes I almost forget they even exist in the HP universe. I love Auror!Harry here, and Ginny's irritation at being a bridesmaid is hilarious and very apropos. Overall, the story has a compelling and very unique feel.
Great job with this!

Thank you for organizing this exchange for us. I was so stressed out, but now that it's over, it's a lot of fun. :)

and the harry-logic of taking her there, because he's kept enough secrets in his life. and she can handle it. this ginny kicks arse.
"Probably shouldn't have done that," he answered quietly.
echoes of hagrid!
i love his sort of stoic good character and attempts to not look and not be affected. *squishes him*
great job, girl.

ahahaha! I noticed that on a re-read, I wondered if anyone would notice. *snort*
Thank you very much. I always hope I can't make the Harry I put into words as wonderful as the Harry in my head. Mwah!

I told my roommate "I like reading and writing, 'cause in literature, you can make up words. Like slapsliding. Which was brilliant to begin with, and you can hear it, but aside from all that, in an already great sex scene, it's down right hot."
Brava!

I think sex and emotions are just so visceral sometimes there aren't enough 'real' words to describe them.
