You are so insanely gifted at this. The characterizations are absolutely perfect, and so... so very *them*.

I really, reallllly love what you've done with this. I dunno if they got back together or waited a bit or what -- I've read fics that are "convincing" with it going both ways -- but regardless, I think the way they *are* together is just perfect here.

Brilliant, lady. Just brilliant.

Oh my goodness, you don't know how very happy you've just made me! This fic has been the bane of my life for the last week, so much so that I'd got to the point that I had no idea if it was even any good. This comment means the world!

Like you, I have no fixed idea about when they got back together, and prevaricate between whether it was immediately, or a few months down the line, like in this story. Goodness knows I've written both scenarios!

LOL I wrote the "get back quickly" one, but haven't attempted the "later" variety ;-) I don't necessarily think they jumped right back into "sunlit days", obviously, but I do think they knew they *would* get together again, in general. As I mentioned in Shoc's LJ, I'm rather slowly re-reading DH (I've just finished "Fallen Warrior"; I've been re-reading the series this summer, too), so ... I just think they understood each other enough to know what would happen, once they *could* be together again. I mean, that's what I think would've happened if JKR had decided to actually *TELL US*! LOL!!

I'm glad I was able to brighten your day! You have certainly made mine better by sharing this -- I really, seriously LOVE it! :-) Seriously, I think you just did a fantabulous job, and I'm reallly glad you posted it! :-)

I'm in love with your Harry and Ginny. This feels so very 'real' to me, very much a way they would be after the war. I've always felt that even if they were together right away that they wouldn't truly be 'them' until they'd talked a whole lot of stuff out, and this is just perfect for showing that.

Thank you so much!

I'm glad it feels real to you - that's what I aim for, so it's a real compliment.

Ha! See! I told you it was good! I know what I'm talking about. :P

(I'm going to borrow your pointy stick of pointyness to poke my song challenge fic again, if you don't mind...)

Wow, this is beautiful! Normally I prefer fics where Harry and Ginny get together soon after the war but your fic makes it so believable, I can see how it might have taken them a while to heal and get back together! Love the way you write them and the imagery your words create.

This line especially:
"Fred’s grave was a raw, gaping wound in the ground, rich brown soil heaped up onto thick, velvety grass, and Harry wanted it to rain, wanted the skies to open up and piss it down with insistent ferocity. He wanted hail and thunder and lightning, wanted the weather to match the turmoil that raged in his brain and his gut."

*Want's to squish Harry and hold him tight*

Thank you! I can see it happening both ways, quite easily - the way I write it happening depends on my mood on any given day!

*wants to squish Harry too*

It's 4 am and I have been reading your fic instead of revisioning for my Very Important Test on Tuesday. Good thing your fic is made of gorgeousness an made me all giddy and happy ( though that may be the result of beautiful, IC H/G fic mixed with caffeine).

It all felt very true and I love the way Ginny is upset but not bringing the house down. I don't know, I'm not making much sense right now, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this piece, how utterly perfect this phrase was "the Ginny he’d left behind finally clicking into being with the Ginny he’d come home to" on so many levels... The weather at the funeral, Harry's wound, Ginny checking on him for hours only to leave after ten minutes with him. The raw feelings. I'm just listing things like mad because I just want to make sure you understand how beautiful and worth-the-wait this story is.
So there, fangirling comment is done. <3<3

Oh my goodness, thank you for such a lovely comment, you've brightened my day!

I'm sorry my fic stopped you from revising, and I hope that the test goes ok on Tuesday.

Thank you once again for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed the story.
