Hey, guys! Happy New Year!
Sorry for being so absent lately, your dear old mod's been busy as something that's very busy lately! Thanks again for being so patient!
But! Since we've got a new year, let's have a quick couple of rule changes. Well, one, actually. While this community started out as a prompt-only fiction community, prompt communities have slowly started dying out, being replaced by drabble memes, challenge communities, and people just writing fiction for the hell of it. But, ficrecfriday, while always striving to be trendy and awesome (we do have Prada bags and Ugg boots, thank you very much), hasn't switched out of that rule because we didn't want to change. And when I say "we", I mean me, since I don't do particularly well with change.
That being said, for the time being our rule of prompt-based fiction only has been lifted. Please feel free to recommend any fiction you enjoy. When filling out the standard rec format, please simply write:
