Sorry, but is this the whole story? Or will you continue it? The ending felt a bit open so I am curious. ^^

Yes, this is the whole story. It was a deliberate decision to leave the ending open: the story was more about the intersection of two people, in this case Mulan and Kida, than either of them individually. It opens with the reaping that will ultimately cause them to cross paths, and closes as they go their separate ways again - Kida to be involved with the rebellion/revolution, and Mulan to put her life back together and continue the search for her brother, in safety.

I appreciate your feedback on the ending, though. I do have plans to do some (possibly extensive) editing on this in the future, once the first rush of writing it has cleared, and I will keep your comment in mind.
