Angel watched silently as Cordy picked up the conversation hearts he'd placed side-by-side on her desk, examining each thoughtfully.
"Three years."
Picking up the next, she continued. "Two hearts."
Finally, she studied the last. "One love."
As she put the pieces of the puzzle together in her mind, a tear fell. "Oh, Angel."
He quietly stepped up beside her, handing her the final piece of the puzzle. "I love you," he murmured, telling her not only what was printed on the candy, but also what was in his heart.
"And I love you," she whispered, kissing him tenderly.
