Of all the things he was, scared had never been one of them. Until now. Angel opened the box in his hand, took a breath he didn't need and dropped to one knee.
"I love you with all my heart," he told her. "Will you marry me?"
Cordelia Chase nodded as tears fell silently down her face. "Yes, Angel. Yes, I will marry you."
With those words, he slipped the one karat diamond solitaire onto her finger and kissed her. It was a kiss filled with such tenderness, such love that it took her breath away. And it was perfect.
