If you are depressed, I firmly believe you can never really get beyond it. I don't ever see people getting past their insecurities, shortcomings, failures or whatever because they can put on the facade that they have matured enought to get past whatever it is that gets them down... but at the end of the night when it is that person and that person ( Read more... )

I believe you can. Some people need therapy to help them realize things they can't realize on their own. People learn to get past insecurities and shortcomings and failures. It's not impossible to learn to accept yourself and everything in your life. Of course most people aren't 100% happy with their lives, but you can get pretty damn close to that.

I would have to agree with Liz. People get past there insecurities all the time. I look at where I was in highschool and where I am now and I am a completley diffrent person. I have overcome a ton of obsticals. It all comes down with what or who you are getting your satisfaction from. If it is from a person or the world than it will ultimatley fail.
