Is it just me or is the skinhead scene totally disgusting? I didn't realize how many there were until yesterday at Warped Tour. Everytime I saw one I wanted to go back to the anti-racism booth and buy a shirt that said "F**k you, Nazi bastards ( Read more... )

Eh. Come on now.
Nazi skinheads are the bad ones. The boneheads.

There are skinheads that are not racist.
The Traditional skinheads, the sharps etc etc.

Skins just get a bad reputation because everyone jumps to the conclusion that they are racist. Not at all. Its same as being a punk, or a rude boy. Into drinking, having a good time, snd yeah.

Sorry for like jumping down yer throat. I just have a soft spot for em.

i've heard that there are non-racist skinheads before. the thing i don't get is this: why do something that can be very easily misconstrued as being a nazi (i.e. shaving one's head, calling oneself a "skin")? it doesn't make any sense at all to me. if one were truly anti-racist, you would assume they would want to have nothing to do with something like that.

Skinheads really didnt get stuck with the "Nazi" label until like what? the 80's? Skinheads came out of Jamaica along with Rude Boys in the 60's.
The Nazi's simply just adopted the style in the 80's, and brainwashed the media into thinking that all skins are racist.
I really wish more people understood this.
