It's one of the most fantastic speeches that I've ever heard, not just about everything that Bush has done, but also about how the American people chose to let him get away it. Context is that Alan Shore is an attorney whose secretary is on trial for tax evasion as a form of political protest.

And what I’m most sick and tired of is how every time somebody disagrees with how the government is running things, he or she is labeled unAmerican.
Not only that, but I notice online, at least, that people are now adding, "It's for our own good." I've seen people try to say something - even so much as simply in a forum, and people simply brush off with, "It's for our own good" or (for certain things) "If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't care". Or such things - as if murder-torture-etc is okay if you're a certain person (or so they come off). Offline, I see people say a bit of if they like/don't like what's going on, but in a, "It'll all be over soon..." sort of way...

What's happening right now? That's good for someone who wants ultimate power over the workings of a country. The president is NOT the American people.
