Elitism in RP is a very good thing. It might be able to stop situations where I read over RPs and wince, wondering, "Hey, who let the stupid people in"?

Being elitist isn't a bad thing, either. It means you have standards, like pretty much everyone out there. Would you want to play baseball on a team with a five-year-old kid every single day if you're in your teens? No. Of course. Maybe a few times because kids are cute, but not continualy as part of something you take seriously. So why yell "ELITIST!" when even normal teams are separated by age and ability?
