Yay for another Natalie/Janette fan! :) I loved this show when I originally watched it. and these two were my favourite characters, they never got to interact enough on the show, imo.

I had a couple of Janette/Nat stories, but I wrote them a good dozen or so years ago and they're so not online any more. The quality is, um. Dubious.

This is wonderful! The ways in which Natalie has changed as a vampire are both heartbreaking, yet utterly realistic, and I love that Janette finds herself opening up to Natalie in a way she didn't when Natalie was mortal. (I, um, have a hard time with the idea of Janette accepting the risk of being hurt by getting close to anyone who's mortal, and could therefore die on her. Late third season canon notwithstanding.)

Thank you! I do think Natalie and Janette would have made excellent and long-lasting companions for one another if Natalie had [canonically] been crossed over. They would have undoubtedly disagreed on enough issues to keep themselves entertained throughout the ages but, at the same time, I always felt they had a certain amount of respect for each other, as vampire and mortal, that would have translated to their immortal lives and let them resolve any differences eventually. And both of them could have used a friend.

As thrilled as I was to see Janette return in the third season -- I missed her! -- I had and still have serious issues with The Human Factor. (Or I would, if not for the fact that It Does Not Exist.)

On a different note: I'm so glad to discover that there are FK fans on LJ. This was the first fandom I ever got involved in way back when and I was fairly convinced that I'd be writing these for an audience of, um, me. Heh. I'm happy to be proven wrong about that!
