I started playing catch up for femslash100's remainder #100, but didn't get any of them posted before it ended. I've been writing for challenges I've missed since then, on and off, so I figured I might as well post some of them here.
Title: Control.

She's learnt to be the very model of a perfect Companion; demure and refined when called for, always backed by a core of personal strength. She can read anyone she allows into her bed, can detect their desires and their needs, and can ensnare their senses until they lose all sense of themselves, without losing her head and self in them.
She's calm and centred, confident and controlled under pressure, and very little leaves her confused or rattled. She's the pride of the Institute and she's proud of herself for that, for the reputation she's forged during her years as a mere student.
It's only Nandi that's marring her perfect life, only Nandi who can invite herself into Inara's bed and turn her world upside down before leaving her, seemingly unaffected.
She keeps swearing that next time she'll say no, that she has more self-control that this, but Nandi turns up at her door and kisses her, and she finds she has no self-control at all.
When she graduates she'll leave Nandi behind and the thought makes her heart ache. She whispers it to Nandi late at night, but Nandi just closes her eyes and pulls her closer.
