He lets his eyes close.

Aw, Spence...

It is still too bringt.

Sort of like bright but different.

"Hey..." Rossi covers Reid's hand with his own, a startlingly paternal gesture, and Reid has to fight not to pull away. "Do you remember anything?"

He shakes his head.

"Hey. This?" Rossi gestures to the marks on Reid. "Is not your fault. That's the only thing you need to know right now, okay?"

Love them.

"Yes, if you did this. But you didn't. Someone did this to you."

There is compassion in Rossi's eyes that Reid can't stand. He has to look away.

"...Again?" he asks, and he hates how terrified he sounds.

"I'm sorry, son."

"I'm not your son."

Soooo much love.

"No, but you're on my team. So that makes you my responsibility. That makes you my family. Okay?"

Rossi is really waiting for an answer, and Reid can't think of the right one quickly enough. Instead of acknowledging it, what comes is, "I'm not Italian..."

Okay, thank you Reid...

All I can think of is, "It's not too bright!" Old school...LOL.

They are wonderful. Why aren't there more Rossi and Reid fics?

Oh, Reid. Break my heart. Rossi, please be amazing forever.

Right? Hahaha!

Sad day for Reid, but such a good thing Rossi is there to make it better. Yay!

I just read all three parts of this story tonight, and I am completely entranced by them. You captured the characters beautifully; as I read the stories I can literally see the scenes playing out in front of me. I'm anxious to know how Garcia copes, and hoping you plan to write a bit about her recovery as well?

I'm currently watching Ion's nightly Criminal Minds marathon (the episode "In Name and Blood",) and I'm struggling to choose between that and reading more of your stories! I'm a very fast reader to begin with... I can't remember ever having been happy about long commercial breaks before!

Wow! Thank you so very much! This makes waking up early super worth it! That's a great compliment that you can see the scenes playing out in front of you. That is what I hope for, as a writer. I touched a little bit on Garcia as there is actually a 4th story now. I'll include a link to all my CM fic for you.

I think I just watched In Name and Blood (on DVD) last night! Just discovered CM in July and it's so brilliant. Thank you so much! Your compliments have made my morning!
