"Stay there," she mouthed fiercely.

Adam heard harsh Spanish being spoken above him, and heard a gun being cocked above his head.
They had seen him moving.
Shit.
He had no time to think. The gun just went off above him.
But before he could brace himself for the impact, another body was on top of him - shielding him from what was to come.
