Anything you would like us to know?: I'm still new to this whole writing thing, but I'm very passionate about learning and growing stronger as a writer! I need deadlines, so I either join exchanges for my fandom or I create a schedule for me to write off of. I also mod one of the exchanges in my fandom, and I'm always happy to introduce people to my OTP!
My masterlist is
here. I can't quite pick my favorite story, but here's an excerpt and a drabble.
Excerpt from '
Obsession' - Minseok/Sehun (NC-17 ; 30k)
A single lamppost stands tall at the end of the street, and it illuminates a small circle of sidewalk with a soft, yellow glow. Sehun continues walking along the sidewalk, his hands shoved deep into his front pockets as a biting breeze sweeps past him, blowing fallen leaves and trash across the street in front of him.
Footsteps sound from somewhere behind him, echoing off of the concrete sidewalk. Sehun freezes, and the footsteps stop abruptly. Sehun glances over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes as he searches the dark for any signs of movement. Finding none, he shrugs and starts walking again. It must've been his imagination, or something. The streetlamp at the end of the street hums quietly as he approaches.
Another gust, and the wind works as a puppet master for the leaves and scraps of trash scattered across the sidewalk, forcing them to dance without music. The light from the lamp post flickers, and a chill runs down Sehun's spine.
He takes a shortcut down between the next alleyway. Tao's apartment isn't too far, now. He picks up speed, walking faster as a general sense of unease washes over him. It's been fairly quiet all night, but it's better to not take a chance. The particular area he's in is rundown, with scraps of abandoned newspapers and other trash littering the street, messy graffiti scrawled across the walls, and boarded up windows.
The farther he gets from the main street, the darker the alley becomes. Shadows deepen the further he walks, bathing the alleyway in shades of black and grey.
Without warning a dark shape leaps out at him from the shadows, slamming him into the brick wall of the alley. His head hits the wall with a loud thunk, and his vision starts to swim as he unsuccessfully tries to twist out of the assailant's grasp. They have their fingers wrapped around his biceps, holding him against the wall with surprising strength.
Their eyes flash red in the dark.
Shit. Vampire.
Normally, a vampire’s eyes are a reddish black. When they’re feeding they turn straight black, but when hunting… they’re a frightening red.
Sehun manages to get in a kick, pushing the attacker off of him. He twists to the side, about to make a run for it, but the vampire grabs for him, clawing at his stomach with single-minded intent. Sehun stumbles. His legs won’t listen to him anymore, and he falls with a loud shout, hands shooting out in front of him. He hits the ground, hard. Raising himself on one elbow, he sees a pair of blood-stained boots out of the corner of his eye. He shakes, unable to control his body as the vampire approaches.
His side feels warm. His shirt sticks to his stomach, and even he can smell the blood. The vampire bends down, harshly grabbing Sehun’s shoulder, and his fingers dig into the skin as Sehun cries out in pain and tries to pull away.
It’s a mistake. His side pulls too hard, too fast, and his mouth falls open in a silent scream as a stabbing, intense pain tears through him, his arm giving out so that he’s only held up by the vampire’s grip on his shoulder.
And then that support is gone, and he’s falling back to the ground again. This time, his hands don’t catch his fall and he collapses against the hard asphalt. There’s a high-pitched ringing in his ears, and the outside fields of his vision start to grow blurry, fading to black. The last things he sees before everything goes black are his attacker slumping to the ground, eyes dull and throat slashed, and someone walking away.
And, for fun, have a Minseok/Sehun drabble because they are my OTP and I cherish them dearly.
As a faerie prince, Sehun oversees a lot of what goes on in the palace, or at least the smaller tasks that his cousin, King Joonmyun, doesn't have time for on his own, and Minseok is supposed to watch over him. After all, that's the duty of a bodyguard.
However, most mornings find Minseok pressing Sehun against the soft, golden sheets of Sehun's bed, their tongues curling lazily together as Sehun's fingers thread through Minseok's dark hair. It would be a lie to say that Minseok has abandoned his post and stopped watching over Sehun. In fact, he watches over Sehun very closely - he watches the way Sehun's legs fall apart under his careful touch, and the way Sehun's chest rises and falls with every soft moan and gasping breath. His gaze never leaves Sehun, not once. It never does, no matter how often they do this.
A bodyguard should remain with his or her charge at all times. That’s just how things are done in the Unseelie Court. Minseok sticks to Sehun’s side like the sap sticks to the bark of the trees in the forest outside the castle. He’s not always visible, but he’s there. Minseok is the whisper in the wind, the lingering scent of cherry blossoms in the air, the unwavering shadow by Sehun’s side.
One day, when Sehun is on the throne, Minseok will stand proudly by his side, but until then… Sehun and Minseok stick to the abandoned corridors and dusty halls in the forgotten parts of the castle. They aren’t needed, not yet anyway, and Sehun would much rather spend his time pressing Minseok up against the nearest stone wall and kissing his breath away than play mind games with the ambassadors from the Seelie court like his cousin, Joonmyun, does.
One day, their games will have to end, and they’ll have to be even more careful. But for now, they can pretend that they have all the time in the world.
