Oh my god everything about this was so perfect- their banter and the differences in their stories. I'm not going to lie - I was sitting in the library while I was reading this and I had to keep from either screaming or squealing or giggling out loud I don't even know this was just so perfect and I love it and this their relationship is perfect.

Also, Ueda's exasperation throughout this whole thing was hilarious and very well done.

“I think it’s broken,” Nakamaru whispered. “I can’t-- it hurts, Junno…”

I---I screamed. I totally did. I won't lie.

This was fun with all the different viewpoints about what happened. Loved Nakamaru trying to cover for falling in a ditch by saying he roundhouse kicked a wild animal. Poor Ueda having to put up with all that.

Ueda really is the long-suffering being of this reality; all the lies and all the ridiculousness and hahah yes, the imaginary wild animal getting round-house kicked was one of my favourite parts to write <3

I love the pattern/style of this fic! Enjoyed reading this and made me laugh and giggle with TaguMaru's banter. "This is a potato disguised as a car." > LOL!
Nakamaru felt every hair on his head reach up the roof of the car like some sort of distress call for help. >> hahaha bibiri maru is on
Also love this "The idiots made eye contact, which resulted in an odd off-beat dance with Nakamaru swivelling back around and staring huntedly at something above Ueda's head and Taguchi knocking over everything within his proximity with the use of every limb available." :3

and it's clear that Junno doesn't want the idea that Maru won't invite him again on survival games <3 Also love the revelation that somehow Taguchi planned everything that night, the cabin and probably about the car too?? :3 And the fact that Taguchi doesn't believe the rumors about Nakamaru is just <3 Anyway Thank You author-san for this wonderful fic!

I feel like even though Junno has recently skipped out on their survival game dates with the excuse that he forgot, he'd still be really choked if Maru ever stopped inviting him. It's their thing after all <3

Howling in real life at the snark and too-straight-for-this-Ueda. This is one of those fics I knew I was going to enjoy too much to continuously stop and jot down quotes--although you're writing was superb; not only the style (which I loved) but the way you phrased your descriptions; so charming ♥--and all through it, I was laughing to myself. The characterisations were fantastic (gfdsjhshj egoistic Junno and snappy not-having-any-of-it Nakamaru <333), the dialogue was brilliant, the unique style had me hooked, and just the way you had them communicate and say everything through body language and facial expressions was perfect. So very them. The way you wrote their dynamics is exactly what I love about tagumaru. ♥

ps. 'living noodle' taguchi is my fave omg

lol tbh the moment I decided to write Tagumaru I knew i wasn't going to manage any manner of ninja-writing this year. (Do I ever??) BUT YES, I am terribly flattered by this comment. The structure and style was a bit of a challenge because it was so different switching POVs and adding in quirks and such; especially the dialogue. Ii'm so pleased it made you laugh and that you enjoyed the read. Thanks so much for this wonderful comment and even more of a thank you for taking the time to read.

lol well, actually there was no indicator that the car was new; just that it was the first time Nakamaru was a passenger in it. Junno just seems the sort of person who keeps pamphlets on things he buys and memorises the sales pitches that reel him in.

That kitten poster is the best thing ever to enter a fic I've written. I love it so much lol.
