It's a warm, sunny afternoon here so the whole part about the sunlight streaming into the carriage and dozing off on his dad's shoulder made me tear up for real ;~; such warm nostalgic feelings ;~;

'Himself' was a confused, unsure boy who alternately strove for conformity or individualism, who laughed at weird things, who had trouble expressing himself without the occasional use of his fists. But all of those things were okay because Ueda was those things too sometimes

I love how you have made this such a simple piece with some of the most beautiful imageries ever - the small village and the tree and the shops Koki revisited. I love your portrayal of Koki's life as a child in an idyllic village where nothing was too complicated, and where everything honest and straightforward. I love how everything has this fantastical air in it, but oh-so-real in a way that we can imagine how things happened precisely. But most of all, I love how it's so effective in the portrayal of the best aspects of Koki and Ueda's relationship.

Okay I admit, I haven't read anything for months, maybe a year, I'm only Ueda/someone so this one is in my fancies, but OMG I loved it!
I can't read Ueda in nc-17 other than with some people but this one is not! It's perfectly fluff and totally safe and I looooved it!

It's beautiful and how Koki made his way to the world and came back for once thing and probably will go to the city with THAT thing again!

Oh *___* this was beautiful. It also kind of hurt all kind of good. I love the train scene a lot, the way the smell and the light and the warmth and the memories of it were described. I also liked the way you described the comfortable evolution of a friendship and the "bomb" that feelings of love brought to it. And just <3 so many things were pretty and somehow felt right, and I don't really tend to identify with feelings and thoughts in fic but Koki definitely struck a string or two. And I love how Ueda was still in this fic, quietly but so perfectly.

JUST! Yeah this was wonderful.
