One of my favourite ways to make time vanish is to poke around the various overheard in X communities and websites. I now can't remember where I found this one, but it wants to be story when it goews up, it really does :

Man on phone: Where's Joey? [To someone at the table] Where's Joey? [Into phone] He's in the bathroom trying on a dress.
