Warning: Het. I can't believe I wrote het. Normally, I don't even *read* het let alone write it… But it's a request for Eyeshield 21 and I just couldn’t resist. Barely R-rating, and, er, not so much with wild and sweaty action, but, hopefully at least it's readable for you

For someone who doesn't write or read het, you did an awesome job. : )

I love that you kept Mamori strong in this, and didn't have her fall apart into a typical blubbering 'maiden.'

And - I really, really couldn't see Mamori doing the whole fainting maiden act (besides which, I think that sort of reaction would either bore Hiruma or cause him to torture said maiden more); she stands up to people and protects people, though she does have some serious blind spots...

Hiruma's easily my favorite Eyeshield 21-character, but he's hardly the material for any kind of romance-fic ... or so I thought, until I read this gem. Mamori was very cool in this, too - fangirl as I may be, I definitely agree with your previous reviewer that she's not the fainting-maiden type.
