Situation: hurt/comfort, forbidden love
Summary: After Captain Wilton Parmenter is seriously wounded by an Apache, Dobbs realizes his feelings for his Captain are more than just lust:
Dobbs is aware the Captain has yet to make plans for the future with Wrangler Jane and he thinks he knows why. Could it be the Captain prefers men, even if he doesn't realize it yet? Dobbs finds it amusing how many excuses Parmenter uses to distract Jane from trying to convince him to set a date and no matter how hard he tried, he cannot stop thinking about the Captain.
Wilton goes on an Indian scouting mission with Sergeant O'Rourke, Dobbs, and half of the troopers when he is attacked and wounded. Being the Captain's orderly, After the doctor has patched him up, Dobbs is left to care for the Captain at the Fort and they become closer. Dobbs makes his true feelings known to the Captain and the Captain is more open than Dobbs thought.
I love Wilton and think he and Dobbs would make a great pair. I'm open for suggestions for the direction of the plot too... take this where you think it should go... and have fun.
Word Count: I'd love to see this become more than just a one shot, but I love long one shots too.
