I just watched that GA episode today. I really liked this story. I liked that they don't know where they are. I also thought Lily was very in character. Nice job.

I sometimes get frustrated with other writers' interpretations of Lilly because she's often portrayed as this heartless bitch when she really wasn't. Yes, she was bitchy, but there was always a layer of vulnerability in Lilly, a lack of self-worth, like the post-Homecoming scenes with Celeste, which painted her as such a tragic figure. I wanted to make her spoiled and Lilly-like, but also show the human traits she embodied too.
Aww, I really liked this. I actually got a bit teary, because I liked Bonnie a lot too, and I think she and Lilly could have a great time critiquing everyone's fashion sense in the great beyond.
I may get a little too attached to fictional characters, it turns out.
You have this sort of breathless writing style, with lots of run-on sentences that really works for me generally, and especially in this fic; it's very Lilly. I like the little universe you created, of these spirits that are still very much composites of what their loved ones think of them. Nice job.

Seriously, that episode of GA just about killed me, and I really loved Bonnie. While everyone else is moving on, Lilly is still stuck in her sixteen-year-old world, a world inhabited by Veronica 1.0, and when I saw Bonnie, this sweet, honest, noble character, I saw a bit off old Veronica in her and figured she and Lilly would make great friends, resume the old V/Lilly friendship. And Bonnie had a sense of humor too, so they could totally critique everyone else's fashions sense!

Me too. I can't even think of the closing montage on "Six Feet Under" without getting a little sniffly.

You gesture to your bikini. "I know I have a rockin' bod," you say. "But I'm gonna kill my best friend. I don't wanna roam the earth or whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing wearing this thing. It's cute and all, but totally rides my crack."
That strikes me as so totally Lilly. I love it.
I'm not so good at writing snarky comments, but that line just seemed to fit Lilly so well -- she'd suffer for beauty! Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you liked the story.
