Ignoring canon makes everything better.

Juliet takes her time, but Kate always eats quickly, like she's starving, like this might be the last meal she'll ever eat. It makes Juliet want to reach across the table and take her hand, tangle their fingers, whisper, It's okay, Kate. It's over now.

I love how much that one part says about Kate's character. It's certainly more in character for her than most of this season has been.

Ahhh I really liked this! I'm not usually into fic if it so much as involves Kate, but like you said, it's easier to like her when she's paired with Juliet. Great work <3
