This is wonderful. I especially love the bookends, and MORE especially the bit about the lady cheating on her boyfriend and how that isn't the issue at hand. Somehow that grounded it in the real world, and I love this because it was so real. It really felt like New York, and they felt like real people without being at all white-washed versions of themselves. I also love that it never got romantic. It was highly felt, but never schmoopy. Fantastic!

It's so wonderful to find fic that ignores season 3! And for that, I give you my undying love.
