Oh, I love that song. Awesome pick, and I can totally see how this would work for them.

You are home, he reminds himself as he stands up and wanders restlessly through the echoing rooms of his apartment: but that isn't what he means. Home is a place with long beaches and green trees - a place with no trains, no departures, and no goodbyes.

That is such an awesome, well worded part.

I also loved the way you used Juliet here, and the ending is excellent, with the "I just want to go home" line.

Aww...Des/Charlie loveliness. I love that Charlie calls Des a "wanker" and it's more like a pet name. And I loved the ending when Des makes Charlie squee. Too cute. Thanks for writing this.
