Penny sighed, sitting on the edge of her bathtub as Leonard examined the plastic stick in his hand, comparing it the box in his other hand. “It says pink means you’re pregnant.”
She rolled her eyes. “I know what it means, Leonard. I do know how to follow directions.”
“You let it sit for five minutes?”
She nodded.
“And it was the first time you went to the bathroom today?”
“Yes. God, Leonard, what are we gonna do with a baby?”
He shrugged. “Don’t let it anywhere near Sheldon. Other than that, I’m not sure.”
“Great. At least we have a parenting plan.”
He squinted, looking closer at the pregnancy test. “Wait, this is purple. What does purple mean?”
“There is no purple. It’s either pink or blue.”
“It looks purple to me.”
She rolled her eyes. “This is the last time I buy a pregnancy test from the dollar store.”
“Maybe its dark pink,” he mumbled to himself.
“Great. So I’m really, really pregnant.”
“Not necessarily. According to the directions, it could just mean that you have a high amount human chorionic gonadotropin in your blood and that could mean a number of things.”
“Like what?”
“Well… you could have cancer.”
She blinked. “What?”
“Yeah, maybe we should speak with a doctor.” She gave him a look, he shook his head. “Who actually knows what they’re talking about,” he added quickly.
