“Hey, Case, you need a ride?” Jason asked as he walked over to her desk. He noticed she was asleep on a case file. “Casey,” he whispered. “Case, wake up.”
“No,” she mumbled, not opening her eyes.
He rubbed her back gently. “Come on, let’s go home.”
“Can’t move.”
He carefully lifted one of her arms and put it around his neck then slowly lifted her out of her chair.
“What are you doing?” she asked, smacking him in the head.
“I’m gonna take you home. And as a thank you for what you just did, I think I might walk into a couple walls on the way to the car,” he told her, carrying her out of the room.
