BRB sweating

I've always been what my mom called "cold natured", we both were. Everyone else in a room would be too warm but we'd be in sweaters because we were cold. I'm sure y'all see where this is going. For a little while now I've been noticing that I'm warm when no one else is. I actually had to wait outside while my husband ordered take out not too ( Read more... )

Pretty much exactly what you're describing, except that I'm not on Cymbalta. Always been cold-natured, but lately I get--not hot flashes, but hot days/nights.

I put it down to being middle-aged and gaining some surprise birthday weight.

i've had night sweats off and on to the extent i had to change my clothes and sometimes the sheets...usually i just kick the covers off.

recently my partner accused me of stealing the covers at night (which i thought was bizzare becasue I know I kick them off) and we discovered that her dog was stealing the covers in the middle of the night as she climbed across me to get out of bed LOL thereby covering me BACK up and me waking up and tossing the covers back at my partner...but not always making in that1/2 awake, drugged state that I tend to get at night... anyway since i started kicking the covers off, less night sweats. Plus we keep it almost frigid in our bedroom

I was always like that, freezing when everyone else was sweating. Now i'm almost always hot.. have a hard time keeping my coat on in a store, etc. Walking around half-naked at home because i'm just dying, even when it's not exceptionally hot. I sweat, but not excessively. I've never been much of a sweater.

I've tried several different meds, but haven't noticed it to be worse or better on or off any one in particular.

I end up covered in sweat during the night. Never been on Cymbalta.
I've found having a fan going all night helps a great deal.
The lower half of me gets cold, so it has two doonas. The top half has one doona, folded back. Then the fan.
Weird - but it works for me.

totally off topic, but I absolutely adore the term "doona" (had to look it up, hadn't heard it before :)
