I think I've found a way to fight the fatigue and fog, personally: Yerba Mate. Specifically, Guayaki Organic Energy Shots (the Chocolate Raspberry flavor). I love the shots so much that I went with friends to Whole Foods and bought a whole 12-pack case. Yerba mate seems to boost my energy levels enough to where I can push past the pain, without ( Read more... )

I tried it brewed like coffee. I didn't like the taste at all, and the effects were negligible and not worth the feeling I was drinking a cup of lawn clippings. lol

*laughs* Yeah, I've heard from a lot of people that mate tastes like dirt or leaves or grass! It is truly an acquired taste. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

I can't stand the taste of either yerba mate or acai. And mate makes my reflux act up even with daily prilosec. I stick with coffee, which helps with my ADD too.

I've tried yerba mate, acai and gogi. Didn't notice any health benefits and, as it turns out, I'm severely allergic to all three. :(

I didn't see any big results from yerba mate, but green tea seems to help me a lot. I drink everything without sugar in it, which I think helps too. I have a really good organic acai pomegranate juice that my husband guzzles!! I am not sure if it does anything, but I know the green tea does.

Oh! And I looked those up. They sound promising, but so expensive! They don't look like they have any gluten in them, but does the packaging say anything about it? I checked the FAQ and stuff on their site and couldn't find anything.

You're welcome! As you can see from most of the responses here, mileage may vary. But it couldn't hurt to try. :)
