Highlight the text of the article, copy it into notepad, and then copy the text from notepad and paste it into LJ's editing box. That'll remove all the formatting and leave it clear for everyone to read. I used to code HTML for a living, but even I use this trick cause its so much easier and faster than editing the HTML tags themselves :)
