Boy am I glad the holidays are over! I am not counting New Years because it is more optional and if I do anything, it will be with friends instead of family.
I love my family, but I am wiped from going to 3 different x-mas celebrations. I am so happy to be home for more than just a night, and to be able to sleep in and take it easy!
I am in so much pain and so fatigued (yet can't sleep, go figure) even though I slept in today, and didn't do too much.
Holidays are NOT made for fibromites, let me tell you!
if Fibromites created holidays...
1) Christmas would be Rest-mas
2) We would have carols like "Why are my Shoes in the Freezer?", "Did I Take My Pills Yet" (to the tune of Do You Hear What I Hear),
"Carol of the Ows", "The Twelve Pains/Drugs/Flares/Fogs of Christmas"
3) It would be tradition to nap after eating turkey/opening presents/eating dessert/greeting relatives
4) Instead of Wasailing or Spin the Dreidel, we would play things like "Guess the Meds", "Medical Jargon Jepardy", and "Brain Fog
Charades" (where you gesture/act out words when you forget them mid-sentence)
5) Instead of egg nog we would have ginger tea to soothe our nausea.
