Galaxy series from Spunky Eclectic. This is the first of 10 balls of fluff. Spun on a Kundert 1.5 oz spindle. Came out a bit thinner than I wanted at 15 wpi. But I really love how it looks so I won't quibble.
I am splitting each small batt, putting them in "planet order" and spinning each half batt end to batt end (one continuous length). Then I'll ply them together - the colors will roughly align :) I don't want it totally perfect, just *close*... I'm going to use it to knit the "Giant Spiral Shawl" from "A Gathering of Lace" (it's the second of the two spiral shawls she has in the book) - just seems appropriate!
I'm going thru a list.. mostly of Gaughan's patterns... that might fit the bill. Things like pentagons, hexagons and octagons. But of course, first I have to spin it all.
