I finally started working on getting my daily Pebble quest done and today decided to take a turn around the Temple of Earth to see if Aeonaxx was available... to my surprise, he was! Five minutes later (after quite a bit of searching in the wrong spots) I had a new dragon mount, the first Cataclysm flying mount I've gotten:

We're working on Bastion of Twilight and I got a shiny! Lucky me, the other two healers in the group were a paladin and a shaman.

So, we went back to Blackwing Descent tonight and this time we made progress: we got Magmaw on the first go and the Omnomnomnotron after several painful wipes.

And I got a shiny!
