Title: You're Not Gay
Author: fiar22
Rating: pg-13
Genre: angst, romance, ?denial?, humor
Summary: If you asked Lee Taemin if he was gay, he'd probably just stare at you. He would rather die that unveil the secret that changed his whole life. However, if you asked Kim Jonghyun the same question, you'd probably wake up in his bed the next morning (regardless of gender). Two very different lifestyles that eventually collide.
Author's notes: I decided to do a little side story just to shed more light on the past of our characters and help you readers better understand the relationships they have with each other. Really, I wanted to write TaeKry smut, but ended up with this instead. For some reason I regret not taking the chance when they were about to do it. xD But it was part of the story. Anyway, enjoy this while I work on some type of epilogue for "Candles". OH, and this takes place about a year or two before Taemin moves to wherever they live.
The slapping of skin could be heard from where she sat and all Krystal really wanted to do was die at this point. They had been going at it for twenty minutes now and Krystal could hardly stand the sound, let alone the sight, of Jonghyun banging her sister. It was a wonder to herself how she got stuck here in the first place.
She recalled realizing she arrived home before Jessica and jumping at the chance to steal one of her tops she'd been admiring for weeks. She knew it would look better on her. But, by accident or some other form of cruel fate, the closet door closed her in when Jessica opened the bedroom door, Jonghyun tagging along. At first, she'd seen this as a time to spy on them and see what was secretly going on in their all-important high school lives, but then she was greeted with the unexpected and therefore awkwardly stuck in a closet while her sister moaned Jonghyun's name like it was going out of style.
Slap. Slap. Slap.
"Noona," Jonghyun cooed in a rather loud way.
SMACK.
"I told you-ungh-not to-ungh-call me that- oh god, right there," Jessica all but screamed.
Jonghyun chuckled and then did something that made the slapping even loud and Jessica screech in a continuous loop of moans. "What was that, baby?"
"Jonghyun," she purred.
Krystal wanted nothing more than to tear her eyes away right now, but there was nothing she could do. She just sat there, eyes open wide, hand over her mouth and kept completely silent.
"I can't hear you," he said in an all too playful tone.
Krystal tried to cover her ears.
"Jonghyun," Krystal barely heard her sister's rather loud remark.
Then, the hum of Jonghyun's voice said something to the likes of, "Not good enough, baby."
And almost instantaneously Krystal was met with the sound of her sister's unavoidable tongue-twister, "JonghyunjonghyunjonghyunjonghyunjonghyunJONGHYUN," and then more panting and moaning.
Krystal was almost sure she'd seen every little dark secret her sister had. There couldn't be anything worse, or more scarring, that her sister's could ever bring to her attention. It wouldn't even be so bad if she wasn't in this god-damn closet. She wanted out. She wanted to forget all of this. But mostly, she wanted Jonghyun to disappear because he was obviously just a horny, fuck-wad, good-for-nothing-
"I love you," said the husky male voice, barely above a whisper, and then the slapping stopped.
Krystal was frozen in place.
"You... what?" her sister's voice resonated throughout the room, no longer in an aroused sort of tone.
"I, shit, I'm sorry. I didn't. I mean, that was weird," Jonghyun said and immediately got off of her sister. He didn't look the least bit hard anymore, so Krystal assumed he'd spilled the goods.
Jessica sat up, looking at Jonghyun. "Jjong, we promised it wasn't like that, remember?"
"Yeah, shit, really Jess, it was an accident. I didn't, I mean you know I love you, but not like that," though his tone was completely unconvincing.
Though, Jessica pretended to buy it. "Alright, well, see you tomorrow."
Eventually, Krystal got out of the closet when her sister left the room, no top in hand. She pretended like she saw and heard nothing and Jessica did the same because she didn't know that Krystal knew.
From that day forward Krystal decided she pitied Jonghyun more than anything. She couldn't hate him, that was out of the question. No, but she did pity him a lot because he was a fool. A fool in love with her sister, whom Krystal knew to be incapable of loving someone like Jonghyun. Why? Because Jessica didn't have the time or place for a fool. Most people may have thought it would be the other way around, but no one really knew Jonghyun like the Jung sisters did.
