England expectsIt must be, Ray decided, very difficult to pull a pint with only one arm. After all, you had to hold the glass steady beneath the tap as well as run the pump itself. And with an eye-patch as well, that couldn’t help with depth-perception when it came to pouring out bottles and measuring mixers. But the landlord seemed to manage it all with more than a little panache. The uniform certainly suited him, tight breeches revealing a manhood that was certainly not hoisted to only half-mast

I'm so glad you didn't mind me perverting your original request somewhat! It was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the prompt so just had to run with it. Probably neither of us will be able to look at either Nelson in quite the same way ever again!
