So, I'm headed to the Meridies Kingdom Arts and Sciences Fair tomorrow.  In Ala-friggin-bama.  Yes, folks, strange as it sounds, I am only about an hour from the Alabama border.  Scary, huh?

They are letting me teach a Storytelling class--which ought to be interesting, because I've never taught a storytelling class before.  And doing it is way ( Read more... )

What are you having a dance for, when you can have a perfectly good bardic circle? Dancing is for winter events.

I'm so with you on this one. Heck, I think bardic circles are for winter events, too, but that's just me.

You coming to Pennsic, by the way?

I plan on it. I've pre-registered and I've volunteered to do one bardic event and teach two classes.

However, weirdness may ensue about moving. Stay tuned.

Find the biggest, hairiest guy you can.

Ask him, "Are you Gareth?'

If he replies, "Why, yes, little lady," tell him, "Master Liam said that seven years ago, when you were king, you almost got trapped in a porta-potty during the Lilies 'Not-A-Tornado-But Damned-Close.' Is that true."

He will say yes, and you wil have a friend.

Oh, you could also casually mentioned that you know "TIE-bor."

PS: If you are teaching a story-telling class, please tell a Viz story for me..

;)

Master Liam, tell me a story that will make me revise my opinion of Gareth! (He was king when I lived there and my impressions were...not stellar. But he's been king a million times, so perhaps he's gotten the hang of it?)

The only Gareth I saw was slender, balding, black, and had a simple circlet instead of a Ducal coronet.

Give me a good Viz story, and I'll tell it. Will it rival the one about Bjorn and the golf cart?

I'm teaching two classes at the A&S Collegium in Atenveldt tomorrow: One on doing period filk and finding period sources (and I'll be referencing you, of course), and one on Chinese Injury Medicine.

It's the former that I'm worried about. I have a feeling nobody will show up because a)it's about making bardic more period; and b)it's at 9am.
