Ah, nothing makes quite as much a difference as a missing "s" :)
The "your"/"you're" thing drives me a bit nuts too (though in this case they used neither.) In fact, there was an episode of "Castle" where someone misused it, and the eponymous character (who is a writer) was ranting about it for most of the rest of the episode.
