Actually, there are two spelling errors.

"Furthermore, if nothing else, come to the writing seminars to give you teachers useful feedback about how to better asses you!"

Ah, nothing makes quite as much a difference as a missing "s" :)

The "your"/"you're" thing drives me a bit nuts too (though in this case they used neither.) In fact, there was an episode of "Castle" where someone misused it, and the eponymous character (who is a writer) was ranting about it for most of the rest of the episode.
