Law Enforcement Convention - ETA NOW COPCON!

Dec 21, 2008 14:21

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. Then there are the private investigators, the heros, the teenagers who think they can fight crime, the nosy relative who writes mystery novels and God knows who else.

This is their convention.

DOINK! DOINK!

From Friday, January 23rd through Sunday, January 25th, Fandom will be playing host to another themed convention. In the proud tradition of MercCon and Robocon we will now have LawCon! Or PoliceCon! ...or some cool sounding name when I get my act together.

Much like the previous conventions in Fandom, this will be a gathering of police officers and... well pretty much any fictional character who fights crime to get together, socialize and share crime fighting tactics. So if you got a character you're itching to try out who's either a detective, fake psychic, police officer, lawyer, district attorney, vigilante, superhero, etc. this will be your chance to have them guest star on the island.

Guest characters will be able to host and attend panels on appropriate topics at the convention as well as mingle with the populace of Fandom in town. You are not required to have the character host a panel but you'd have more fun if you did!

Applications for the convention are open to all current players, limit two per person, and all apps are pending the approval of the admins. The app post will go up shortly.

Deadline for applications is January 14th

Questions? Comments? Concerns? DOINK DOINK?

ETA: And thanks to wantstodirect it is now called CopCon! Even though it's not just for cops.
