Not quite as good as the beach, but some people like it.

The main pool is what all the FH rooms look out on so wave to your classmates and chaperones while patronising the poolside bar.

There are plenty of pool toys as well as a jacuzzi and many, many chairs to lay out on.

"Oh, we are." Mac shrugged. "Call it two birds with the one stone."

"Let me guess," Ron said with a small grin. "You don't usually get out much?"

"I... kinda like my hermity lifestyle," Mac said. "It's worked out quite well for me over the years. Unfortunately, I'm also told that it's antisocial and wrong."

"I've been having a similar argument with a friend of mine back at school," Ron said with a small smirk. "She'd rather have her nose in a book than go out and have a little fun."

Mac blinked. "What year are you from? At home, I mean..."

Out of his time. That was about the only explanation for not knowing about computers in her mind.

"England, 1997? 1998? I'm too busy to look up canon or thereabouts," Ron replied. "Is this a contraption of some sort? I'm not good with things that run on eckltrickity."

Living without electricity? Kind of like Mac's idea of hell. Must be from some weird dimension. Either that or England was way more backwards than anyone ever let on.

"Something like that..." she said, struggling to figure out a way to explain it simply. She was sure she'd had this conversation with Lavender, but that was a long time ago. "It's a computer... just, a lightweight one"

"Oh! Computers," Ron said nodding in understanding. "Those typewriter things with televisions attached."

Well, that was easier than she'd expected.

"Right!" Mac grinned. "I'm... pretty good with them. You don't get computers in England?"

"Oh they have them," Ron replied waving his hand. "I'm just from a wizarding family and we don't usually deal with non-magical stuff."

"Ah. Yeah, I don't deal with the magical things. The only time I did, and it wasn't pretty."

"Oh really?" Ron asked looking interested. "What happened?"

"Turned things into tortillas for four days," Mac told him, wrinkling a nose. "Not my choice of magical power."

"I'm vegan. I couldn't even eat the things."
