Timbuktu, Mali (Western Africa) - Friday

The portal had deposited the away team on the outskirts of Timbuktu in Mali. It wasn't ideal, since they had some distance to go to get to their goal (further digging had given a location for the man they were looking for), but it was as close as they were going to get.

Still, it was better than being dumped in the middle of the Sahara Desert without any supplies or transportation.
