Sometime after his early morning classes and with Aeryn at work, John picked up the phone and made some calls. He had some big news, after all and he figured he'd need some help to get through the next few months in one piece

"You're talkative this morning," John teased when Angel picked up. "Eat your Wheaties?"

Angel made a face. Not that John could see that. "Ew."

This from the guy who drank pig's blood.

"So eloquent, my friend," John said and laughed. "I didn't wake you up or anything, did I?"

Rory managed to catch the phone ringing just as she was about to run out the door to class. "Hello?"

"Hello, Miss Gilmore, would you like to buy some cheese?" John asked, not bothering to disguise his voice.

"I thought I asked to be taken off all your cheese calling lists!" Rory said, grinning.

"Yeah, we didn't listen," John said, flopping back onto the bed. "What are you doing? Coming over to entertain me?"

Oooh, ringing phone.

"Hello?"

"I'm not sure how I feel that you know that I've slept with Aeryn," John said without preamble. "Cuz you're an adult and all."

Aly paused.

"You don't know how happy I am to know this is John speaking to me," she remarked.

"The one and only," he said and shrugged. "You haven't told anyone right? That I slept with Aeryn?"
