Silent Hill, Day 2 - Afternoon/Evening

Outside in Silent Hill, the snow still fell, and everyone would be able to see it now. Feel it now, as it fell on their hands and faces.

It wasn't very cold, for snow. Not very cold at all.

The Street

In which yes, that snow is really ash, which you'll discover if you smear it in your fingers. Falling so thickly that you'd think the town itself was on fire around you, though it isn't.

You may also run into more of the pterodactyl-like creatures from the school playground, as well as Armless Men: shambling skinless human forms who appear to have their arms wrapped in a straitjacket made of their own flesh. They spit a black acidic substance from their chests, and if knocked to the ground can actually move faster towards you, wriggling like a worm.

"Grand Hotel, Grand Hotel," Leia muttered, trying to find the building in the falling ash. She had the gun she'd found at the police station clutched tightly in her hand and her pony tucked under her dress to protect it. Shh.

The Armless Men made her tilt her head and stare, but only for a few seconds. Then the gun was up and she was firing.

Tahiri -- covered and dripping with roach goo -- was only armed with a length of metal pipe she'd found in the ruins of one of the buildings; it wasn't quite her gaderffii, but without a lightsaber it was better than nothing.

And there was a Feral bearing down on Leia.

She opened her mouth to yell a warning as she sprinted toward Leia, but the ash made her choke and all she could do was send out a desperate sense of alarm in the Force, hoping like hell it would work this time. She hadn't had much success so far, and this place was screwing with her abilities, but by the Great Bantha, could the Force be on her side for just a second here?

The Grand Hotel - Ash World

You dare to go look for the truth, right? Of course you do. Plus it's a hotel; maybe there's some rooms that are still livable to camp for the night.

Grand Hotel - Outside

There's another one of those unpleasantly familiar rips, this time in the street just beyond the hotel, if you care to take a look at it. Or, you know, just note that it's there.

Grand Hotel - Lobby

Our travelers, when they near the building, will be able to hear a ringing phone from within it. When they arrive in the dilapidated lobby, it's sitting on the desk, still ringing.

Lobby - Answer the phone
