Pacific Princess, Wednesday Evening

Back at sea and pointed toward Mazatlan, the Loooove Boat continues its series of passenger costume and activity fun with another theme intimately connected to the Mexican Riviera: Square Dance NightNo, you're not allowed to ask. Or, well, you can, but Your Bartender will just snort and point to Your Yeoman Purser, who will shake his head and blame ( Read more... )

Allemande on over to the Grand Do-Si-Do Beneath The Stars out on the Lido Deck!

Clap and tap your feet as you watch the world-renowned Harvest Hoedown Dancers perform on stage, or join them on the open dancefloor below if you're feeling the call!

String ties and floofy skirts not required, but come on, you don't want to look silly, do you?

Jalian found this place by accident, wondering what all the noise was about. It had sounded almost like a ken Selvren celebration.

It wasn't. She stared at it in fascinated horror.

Oo, dancing! Yay!

Okay, this wasn't quite Cecil's usual thing, but they were calling out instructions - it wasn't like it was hard to figure out!

He didn't have a string tie (yet), but he was out there having fun!

"...wow," was all Travis could think to say. How he always ended up in places where there was some insane dancing, he didn't know.

He tried to stay away from the dance floor and firmly against the wall. His wallflower would be good and strong tonight.

The disco music just wasn't Cosette's style, but she was in the mood to go out and partake of some sort of entertainment spectacle tonight.

This . . . was not at all what she had expected, and she was wide-eyed with incredulity, but seemed to be enjoying it nonetheless.

Or being amused by how odd it was. She wasn't quite sure.

Kitty was exactly enough of a dork enough to actually join the people on the dance floor for this. She did skip the floofy skirt, though, mainly because she knew Clint would have reason to mock her forever.

And once she'd had enough, she went back up to watch for a while. This wasn't so bad.

"Dear Maker."

Anders had thought the disco performance on Monday had been the worst thing imaginable. It turned out he'd been so very wrong-- he'd take sequins overflying petticoats any day.

He found a place to lean where he seemed unlikely to be called into the dance and watched with a distinctly skeptical eye.

Wow. Wooooooow.

"I don't know if this is better or worse than the original show," he finally commented.

"You appear to have some time to decide," Obi-Wan said mildly. "They seem very preoccupied."

Some day, he and Anakin should really learn not to engage in these mutually destructive games of chicken.

Most of their relationship was based off of mutually destructive games of chicken!

"It's certainly different."

SEE. HE CAN BE DIPLOMATIC. Sometimes.

"Have you ever heard of this... spirited form of expression?" Obi-Wan asked.

Diplomatically.

"No," Anakin said. "Perhaps it's a dance form that has passed into extinction."

"Its practitioners do appear to be on the old side," Obi-Wan mused.

You two weren't David Attenborough, quit it.

"I'm not sure why the skirts have to be so poofy," Anakin said.

You were married to Padme, Anakin, and so you have NO PLACE to judge stupid clothing.

"Will they be getting thrown?"

Don't sound so excited about that, Anakin.
